Design Philosophy
With “Sincere Delight, Gentle Daily Life” as the core design proposition, the project abandons grand and spectacular landscape narratives. It draws on Feng Zikai’s life philosophy of finding warmth in the ordinary, and takes treating daily life gently and polishing details with care as the underlying design logic.
Based on the water charm of Jiangnan, the design blends courtyard elegance, natural childlike fun and life warmth, turning the landscape into a haven for emotional repose. It conveys a life attitude free from perfunctoriness and impatience, and reconstructs the poetic relaxation of contemporary communities.
Landscape Zoning Design
Moon Water Serenity · Core Water Court
Taking water as the spatial soul, the core waterscape is designed to embrace clouds and frame the moon. The pool floor adopts ink-rhyme blue gradient patterns to mimic ripples and oar shadows under moonlight, forming a tranquil and enduring visual base. Layered cascading water, rhythmic fountains and soft lighting are integrated to reduce spatial noise and slow down the community rhythm.
The Harmony Light Pavilion and waterside sunken lounges are arranged, forming a secure enclosure under the canopy of arbors. It balances the warmth of daytime gatherings and the tranquility of nighttime rest, satisfying diverse needs for solitude and socialization, and carrying residents’ daily stays and emotional comfort.
Elegant Courtyard Charm · Inter-residence Gardens
Following the minimalist elegance of Feng Zikai’s cartoons, small-scale inter-residence gardens are created. Grilles cast flowing light and shadow, weakening spatial intensity and enhancing a relaxed mood. Small scenes convey a grand realm, with tiles, flowers and light all becoming landscapes. Jiangnan elegance is embedded into daily life, building a flexible space for gentle neighborhood interaction and personal tranquility.
Moon Rabbit Fantasy · Children’s Activity Zone
A Moon Rabbit Adventure Paradise is constructed with a silver-gray space-themed tone. The ground is laid with satellite orbit patterns, paired with the Moon Rabbit Chasing the Moon cartoon IP to build a playful exploration field. The zone supports diverse children’s activities including running, shuttling and hiding. Light and shadow create a stage-like atmosphere, reserving space for the free growth of childlike innocence and letting children’s happiness unfold naturally.
Joy of Plants · Nature Exploration Zone
A seamless indoor-outdoor natural connection is realized. Plant mazes and natural ground patterns (leaf veins, swimming fish, jumping frogs) are set up, matched with moon rabbit elf sculptures, forming an unguided nature exploration space. Residents are encouraged to explore the charm of plants up close, discover tiny joys in interaction with nature, and enjoy an adventurous natural experience.
Design Summary
Centered on daily life and grounded in warmth, the project integrates design into life details and achieves emotional resonance between landscape and residents. The organic integration of the four sections—water court, elegant courtyard, children’s fantasy and nature exploration—inherits the gentle delight of Jiangnan gardens while meeting the diverse needs of contemporary communities. It ultimately creates a community landscape where ecology, art and warmth coexist, making “delight” a life attitude, ensuring every stay is natural and comfortable, and returning life to its light and amiable authenticity.
